Nose Surprisingly multi-faceted. At the beginning, I perceive a pronounced floral-fruity note. Floral aromas, dark forest honey, creme brulée, plenty of caramel, subtle candle wax and echoes of exotic fruits dominate my first impressions. The basic character is pleasantly light, but without being powerless, very fresh and balanced. In the background I already register the first spicy oak notes and a maritime flavor, which reminds me of a fresh sea breeze. Makes you want to more! Taste Very pleasing the Clynelish clothes the entire mouth (creamy texture), before a fruity-spicy interplay begins. The alcohol content of 46% ensures a powerful onset, at the tip of the tongue creates a very slight tingle. Vanilla, caramel, dark forest honey, orange peel, apricot and malt dominate the fruity-sweet side. The spicy-maritime side is characterized by spices (cloves, a hint of cinnamon), walnuts, spicy oak notes and salt (sea breeze). Finish Medium long, warm and spicy. The floral-fruity aromas build up with the last of their strength, before a strong conglomeration of spices, hints of herbs and oak is gaining in tasteful upper water. The result is a slight dryness and a delicate bitterness on the palate.
