A wild ferment in barrel using only free run juice, this Chardonnay has a fantastically creamy palate and great texture. Only the best barrels were selected and malolactic fermentation was prohibited, thereby retaining greater freshness and acidity. After an 8 months of maturation on lees, the best barrels were then selected again. This Chardonnay, truly the best of the best of Rietvallei, has broad spectrum of citrus flavours, which, along with slight toasted and spicy notes from oak ageing, make for a complex, beautifully balanced wine that one savours long after the last sip.
